Connect your association management system

MemberLoop keeps your member list in step with the system you already run, so the right people can use your benefits portal without anyone exporting spreadsheets. Connecting it is part of the free benefits portal, and member data stays with your association.

How every connection works

Who sets it up
Your association's administrator, in the MemberLoop admin console. You paste in your system's API credentials, test the connection, and run a first sync. Credentials are stored encrypted and never shown again.
What comes across
Each member's name and email, and where your system has them, membership level, status and renewal date. New people are added as invited members, ready for your launch.
How often
Every night, and whenever you press Sync now.
What goes back
Only if you turn it on: payments members make in MemberLoop on dues invoices that came from your system, and name changes members make to their profile.
What never leaves
What members buy and what they save is never written to your system or shared with anyone else. Vendors see only the members who buy from them, like any customer.

Systems we connect to

Wild Apricot

For associations that run membership on Wild Apricot.

Connect with
Your Wild Apricot API key.
Reads
Contacts marked as members, with membership level, status and renewal date. Invoice history too, if you choose.
Writes back
Dues payments and name changes, when write-back is on.

iMIS

For associations on iMIS.

Connect with
An iMIS service account.
Reads
Your member records, from the standard party data or an IQA query you name.
Writes back
Name and email changes, and dues payments where your iMIS is set up to receive them.

Novi AMS

For associations on Novi.

Connect with
Your Novi API key.
Reads
Members with membership level, status, join date and renewal date.
Writes back
Dues payments and name changes, when write-back is on.

Fonteva and Nimble AMS

For associations whose membership runs on Salesforce, through Fonteva or Nimble AMS.

Connect with
A Salesforce connected app (client ID and secret).
Reads
Each contact's name and email. Membership level, status and renewal date depend on how your org stores them, so they need a field mapping: talk to us before you connect.
Writes back
Name changes, and dues payments once they are mapped to your payment records.

Any system that exports a file

If your system can drop a CSV export on an SFTP server, MemberLoop can read it.

Connect with
SFTP, with a password or a private key.
Reads
The CSV file each night. You choose which columns hold email, name, ID, membership level, status and renewal date.
Writes back
Nothing. A file connection is read-only.

No membership system?

Upload a spreadsheet of your members from the admin console instead, and update it whenever your list changes.

How members sign in

Members use the login they already have with your association wherever possible. You choose which of these to turn on.

Single sign-on
Connect your identity provider over SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect, and members sign in with their existing account. You can limit it to your email domains, or make it the only way in.
Member number
A member enters their member number, and the sign-in link goes to the email on file from your synced list.
Work email domain
Anyone with an email at a domain you name can activate access.
Invite codes and requests
Share a code with a group, or let people request access for your staff to approve.
Provisioning
Identity providers that speak SCIM 2.0 can create, update and deactivate members automatically. Deactivating someone removes their access.
