Effective 29 October 2026
Terms of service
These terms apply to everyone who uses MemberLoop: association staff, members and visitors to memberloop.ca. Associations also sign an association agreement; where the two differ, the agreement applies. Association agreement.
1. About MemberLoop
MemberLoop runs an integrated member benefits platform for Canadian associations. It runs inside each association's brand and member login. Members save on things they already buy, vendors pay a commission on those purchases, and a share comes back to the association as non-dues revenue. MemberLoop is free for associations and members.
2. Accepting these terms
By using MemberLoop, you agree to these terms, the acceptable use policy and the privacy policy. If you use MemberLoop for an association, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
3. Access and accounts
Members get access through their association, which decides who is eligible. Your access ends if your association removes it or stops using MemberLoop. Keep sign-in links and passwords private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. Association staff are responsible for the access they grant in the admin tools.
4. Offers and purchases
Vendors set their own prices, terms and availability, which can change without notice. Your purchase is between you and the vendor, who is responsible for the product, delivery, returns and refunds. Savings shown in the portal are estimates based on what vendors and affiliate networks report, and a purchase may not be credited if tracking is blocked or the vendor reverses it.
Affiliate disclosure: MemberLoop earns a commission when members buy through our partner links. This does not affect the price members pay. A share of the commission goes to the member's association.
5. Revenue share for associations
Vendors pay commissions to MemberLoop through affiliate networks. We pay each association the share of confirmed commissions set out in its association agreement. Payouts are made monthly through Stripe once the association has completed Stripe's verification. Amounts under $50 roll over to the next month, and we may hold a payout to review unusual activity. Commissions that a vendor later reverses, for example after a return, are deducted. Each payout comes with a statement.
6. Your content
Associations keep ownership of their names, logos, member information and the content they add, and let us use them only to run their portal and program. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use.
7. Our platform
MemberLoop owns the platform and its software, design and brand. You may use them only as these terms allow.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep MemberLoop available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, and we'll give associations notice of changes that significantly affect them.
9. Disclaimers
Except where the law says otherwise, MemberLoop is provided as is. We're not responsible for vendors' products or services, or for offers that change or end.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, MemberLoop is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 and the revenue share we paid to the association concerned in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Suspension and ending
You can stop using MemberLoop at any time, and members can delete their account in account settings. An association can end its use as its agreement sets out. We may suspend or close access for breach of these terms, for fraud or to protect others, and we'll give notice where we reasonably can. Revenue share already earned is still paid unless it comes from misuse.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we'll tell associations at least 30 days before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Toronto, Ontario have jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to go to court where you live.
