Effective 29 October 2026
Cookie policy
MemberLoop uses a few cookies and some browser storage to sign you in and remember your settings. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't let other companies set cookies through our pages.
Cookies
These cookies are needed for the service to work, so they're set without asking. Sign-in cookies can be read only by our server, not by scripts on the page.
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
ml_ | Keeps members signed in to their association's portal | 24 hours |
ml_ | Keeps association staff signed in to the admin tools | 8 hours |
ml_ | Keeps MemberLoop staff signed in to our operations console | 4 hours |
sidebar_ | Remembers whether the admin menu is open or closed | 7 days |
Browser storage
Some settings are kept in your browser's local storage instead of a cookie. They stay on your device until you clear them.
| Name | Purpose |
|---|---|
ml_ | Your cookie choice, so we don't ask again |
ml-locale | Your language |
admin-theme, admin. | Display settings in the admin tools |
ml_ | Recent member searches in the admin tools |
ml_ | Private notes that staff write about members in the admin tools, kept only in that browser |
Offer links
When you open an offer, you pass through an affiliate network, such as Awin or Impact, on your way to the vendor's site. The network and the vendor may set their own cookies on their sites to record the purchase. Their own policies apply there.
Your choices
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie preferences at the bottom of each page. The banner lists analytics and preference categories so you can decide in advance; we don't use analytics today, and if we add it, it will stay off unless you allow it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but if you block the sign-in cookies you won't be able to sign in.
Associations with their own web address
If your association runs its portal on its own web address, these cookies are set on that address and work the same way.
