Sales and customer data

Members who buy through MemberLoop become your customers, like anyone else who shops with you. Here is what's reported about each sale, and who sees it.

What you see

Your customer
Members buy on your site, so you see each order and the details the customer gives at checkout, as for any customer. The customer relationship is yours, under your own privacy policy.
Where each sale came from
Every tracked sale carries a reference for the association and the offer, so you can see which sales came through MemberLoop and from which association.

What's reported about each sale

The sale
Your network (Awin, Impact or PartnerStack) or your direct tracking reports each member sale to MemberLoop: the order value, the commission and its status.
Returns and cancellations
When a sale is refunded, cancelled or declined, it's reported the usual way and the commission is reversed.
Direct agreements
Without a network, you share member sales with us on the schedule in your agreement, so commission can be reconciled.

Marketing to members

Through the association
Associations may tell members about offers in their own newsletters and channels. That's the association's decision.
After a purchase
A member who buys from you is your customer. With their consent on your site, you can market to them under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), as with anyone else.

Who else sees sales

Each association sees the sales made through its own portal and the commission it earns, so it can report non-dues revenue to its board.

MemberLoop handles personal information under PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and CASL. You handle your customers' information under your own privacy policy.
